Who We Are 

Emily Taylor, Director 

Emily is an undergraduate student studying Political Science focused on Environmental Policy with a minor in Global Environmental Sustainability. With a passion for social change and science, she decided to pursue sustainability related issues in the political realm. She started off participating in student-led green clubs and service clubs in high school where she gained leadership experience. Her job is to oversee the overall functions of the SSC and represent both the SSC and SoGES in the CSU and Fort Collins communities. She is excited to take on her first year as Director of the Student Sustainability Center for the 2016-2017 school year. Email: 


Jack Van Vleet, Associate Director of Outreach 

Jack Van Vleet is an undergraduate studying Rangeland Ecology, Ecological Restoration, and Conservation Biology at CSU. Jack has previously worked as an Eco-Leader educating himself and students about sustainable and environmental issues in the residence halls. He is dedicated to educating and helping people find ways to learn about and get engaged with sustainability projects and practices. Jack is in charge of the Green Bulletin, the SSC Facebook Page, and our other forms of communication. His job is to present the SSC and its partners in the best way possible. Madison Wood, Associate Director of Engagement

Madison is an undergraduate student double majoring in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability (ESS) and Spanish, with a minor in GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Throughout her time at CSU, she has been involved with organizations like the CSU Climate Action Club, the Society for Ecological Restoration, and the Colorado State Forest Service where she has been able to exercise her love for the outdoors and the environment. Madison is thrilled to join the SSC team in working towards more student involvement and a better sustainability ethic in the CSU campus community.
